It was a first for me, to kill an animal myself in order to eat it. I found myself shouting “Any last words?” to the crab three times because I was so nervous about to do this horrible-horrible thing.
But in the end, it was an enlightening experience. I learned that:
1. Crabs don’t want to die young
2. Those were real moving live animals on our plates (yuck… vegetarian anyone?)
3. Make sure you keep a loaded shotgun ready in the kitchen. Just in case.
