Remember that lady in my post Be A Good Client ? She’s actually on of the reason that inspired me to that much loved post. Della and Stephen come out from your list of dream client: Great personality, good looking, fashionable, and most importantly, they trust you completely. When I bring up the swimsuit idea, they loved it! I don’t think I ever saw any prewedding portraits in swimsuits before, maybe people afraid it is still considered a taboo.

We choose Krabi, Thailand, since it’s just a short hop from home, and we’ve heard alot great things about the place. Everything turns out to be true. Great beaches, perfect blue waters, picturesque islands. We rent a boat to go around the Phi-phi islands, the main attraction, taking stops in between to take the pictures. I really had a great time. Never shot an easier client, they have that flair, that extra style that could really light up the frame.
One a little note, Della’s Mom and Dad came along for the trip! You know that Fockers from Meet The Fockers? That’s how I remembered them. One of the really-really great and funny folks I have seen in my days. I cannot stop laughing seeing them all over each other. I just can see the daddy slapping mommy tushy while she shrieks with joy. Wouldn’t you love it if you can grow old still very much in love like that?

As for the swimsuit session, it was *fantastic* – Della put on this vintage like swimsuit like the ones you saw in pin ups back in the old days. And she’s really hot, ladies and gentlemen 😀 After we flipped the images we had, we don’t have any ‘taboo’ kinda feeling about the pictures. We just found them really sexy and beautiful. Well, I guess ‘dirty’ is from the eyes of the beholder 🙂 We shot tons of pics with the suit, but I think it would be appropriate to put them all here 😀 (sorry guys, hahaha…)
The important thing about new and brave ideas is how well we execute it. And of course, before that, you need a great client that can support you all the way.
In the end, this is one of my most-favorited series.
