UPDATE: We have updated Project Backyard Schedule page with new rates. Have a look.

UPDATE: Vincent and Melissa has done BACKYARD-ing in Malang – check it out

Now, I’ve done my bit on traveling. Not that much though, still lots and lots of places I haven’t been to. But lately I realized that I haven’t shot and traveled a lot in Indonesia, outside Bali of course.

If you think about it, people from all over the world flock to Indonesia to see things that we take for granted. Have a look at this picture of Jimbaran here.

After taking the shot, I said to Francy, “This looks like Italy, that place on Amalfi Coast, don’t you think?”
Then I said, “People from Italy fly all the way here just to have dinner here, in this place we so often took for granted.”
“I bet there are people on the Amalfi Coast right now who also say, ‘Wow, this place looks just like Jimbaran…’ Hahaha….”

The point is, I would love to see more Indonesian places, islands, small towns (my favorite) as backdrops for our pictures. Still so much to see that I think I would have a great time discovering them. Location shooting doesn’t always have to be grand and posh. Small markets and plain fields, with a little help of sunshine will make excellent pictures. In fact, I always encourage couples to take me to their home town, new places, locations I never heard of. I guarantee you, even though I have never been there, the freshness itself will inspire me.

Not to mention shooting locally means we will have more affordable means of travel and lodging, besides expanding our knowledge on our country, and we get to contribute to local tourism. Don’t worry about how the pictures will turn out, that’s on our side of neighborhood 😀 😀

We have set up this page here: Project Backyard for our updated schedule on shooting preweddings in Indonesian locations. Also, as we go to one new location after another, we will post our pictures also on that page.

For starters, we’re having Bangka, Yogyakarta and Ambon, and to kick things off, we’re having a special discount on these trips. We would love to see the slots filled up. Maybe by you?
