UPDATE 2: We have made an example video submission to give you a sense of how easy it is to make one.

First of all, excuse the video for its resemblance with your local Ramayana sale TV ad. We do it on purpose. No, really.

Basically The Golden Ticket is a prewedding giveaway based on video auditions, *and* the winners get to pass their prize (symbolized by The Golden Tickets) to their friends and families.

Here’s the details in writing.

WHAT
Make a video starring you and your soon-to-be bride or groom. You can use your iPhone, your webcam, your DSLR, your Blackberry (does Blackberry take videos? *sandals flying* CLANK! CLANK!), anything. You can edit, add effects, use Star Wars title, etc. Anything, anyhow will do. We don’t care. We just want to see two things: how’s your chemistry in front of the camera, and how interesting you are as a couple.

What should we shoot then? you ask. Some ideas to get you started:
– Make a short horror/comedy/drama movie.
– Do your version of American’s Got Talent.
– Bring a camera in a weekend roadtrip.
– Show and tell us your passions.

HOW
Honestly there are some fears that there’s gonna be little, or worse, no video submitted by the end of the time limit *cricket sounds* Hahaha… One of the main reason that we could think of if that does happen, is probably you guys are worried about the technique, the plot, the hassle of shooting and editing the movie, etc.

So, let us stress out again that we only want to *see* you guys. So a well-lit iPhone video of you guys playing scrabble or reading Winnie the Pooh is already sufficient. Remember, this is a couple audition, *not* a short film festival, so we won’t be judging plotlines, or techniques, or special effects 😀 We just want to see how interesting you are. I hope by we mentioning this a lot more people are interested to join the audition.

All incoming videos will become the property of Edward Suhadi Productions. We promise, we will only do good things to them, like probably showing the interesting ones here in the blog, so you’ll be famous 😀

WHO
Any couple planning to get married on 2010 until 2011. We won’t do any background check or anything, just a sense of trust and goodwill. If you’re from out of town, or even outside of the country, you are still eligible, provided you can come to Jakarta on the meet-up and of course on the day of the shoot. We’re looking forward on seeing videos not only from Jakarta.

You can send your videos by uploading them to a hosting site (Rapidshare, Youtube etc.) or use services like http://www.yousendit.com – then send the link to Edward himself at edward@edwardsuhadi.com – Important: don’t send them too big. 30-50 MB is still ok, provided you can upload them 😀 (Learn how to compress, try these links: http://bit.ly/googlecompressvideo)

The video has to be in our hands by Tuesday, 17 of August 2010.

THE MEET UP
We will choose five couple with the coolest videos and have a meet-up with all of them on a decided date in our new office. We’ll have a nice lunch and maybe followed by a couple of rounds of Wii boxing. Two couples with the best chemistry with the team will be contacted later and pronounced winners.

THE PRIZE
Each of the winning couple will get to have a Jakarta and surrounding area prewedding session with Edward Suhadi Productions photographers on a cool, new and different concept later together decided. They will also get a 20x30cm 30 pages album, a cool wooden box, a 60x90cm frame, and four pieces of medium sized frames to be displayed on their wedding day. All totally legit prewedding materials that you can bring home and then put them on display on your wedding day. There’s a ‘but’ though: But any additional costs, like wardrobes, location fees, etc. are on the couple. Hey, don’t worry, cool creative stuff doesn’t always come with an expensive price tag.

THE KICKER
This is where it gets interesting. Each of the winning couple can pass The Golden Ticket to a friend/family couple, and we will do it all over again. And then they can do that to another friend/family couple, so one Golden Ticket is good for three couples. They need to get married the latest on 2011 also.

YOU MEAN THE WINNER GET TO GIVE THIS EXPERIENCE TO A FRIEND,
AND THEN THEY GET TO GIVE IT TO ANOTHER FRIEND TOO?

WHY
Because we want Edward Suhadi Productions launched with a bang. And because we want more and more people to know about us. And because we want to meet cool people. And because we love to make cool people happy. And because you’re cool.
