The Creative Gap
Edward Suhadi comment 0 Comments

Ira Glass is an amazing radio host and producer of the popular This American Life radio show. I listen to their podcasts to this day and always be wildly entertained and amazed by the stories they share. He’s become this legend of American radio because of his wittiness and creativity that he brings to every show.

I’ve seen the original YouTube clip, but this visualization makes it even better. Thank you my fellow videographer @marthinfort for sharing this.

Every word is true. So many times, more than you know, I look at the stuff that I make and said, “God that suck.”

If you want to flourish as a creative person, the benchmark should be you, not the clients. Even when the client is happy beyond measure, you still need to be able to say to yourself, “Damn that was some fine work I did back there.”

When what you do still suck, don’t quit. Overtime, you’ll suck less 🙂
