TJ and Ani Wedding Ceremony in Perth

Remember that horny, errr… I mean, amazing kissing couple? Hahaha… Kiddin’ TJ! Well, they’re having their wedding registration right there in Queen’s Park in Perth (the reception is going to be held later in Jakarta), and I am honored they are having me to document this special day. I arrived a day before to take some prewedding shots (e-session as some of us here called it). This climate change thing is real folks. They should have twenty-ish weather by now, but we are shooting in the nice six to eight. Brrr….

Come the big day, everything turned out great (well, at first, hahaha…) We Indonesians are pampered with a slew of assistants, maids, and cheap labour. Having an event there means having your friends as the decorator, caterer, organizer, and of course, doing lots of things yourself. But all of that does not take an ounce of meaning from the atmosphere itself. TJ looked happy+nervous big time, even when he’s moving the chairs.

The place is set, under a big tree just like all those pictures you used to see in western photographers website, hehehehe… Pardon us, but we Indonesian photographers shoot in so many awfully lit room, that a big tree and a garden full of sunlight is like your perfect dream setting. Heck, this is my first big tree garden wedding ceremony.

But, as sad as it sounds, when we just about to start, it started to rain. Its only little drops, and the clouds are not that dark, but not taking any chances, the officials and TJ decided to move the ceremony to the nearby gazebo.

There goes my ‘big tree’ moment. Hahaha…. But I am sure TJ and Ani, even with the slight dissapointment, still having one of the greatest day of their lives. Like I said in the previous post, they really are in love. Both of them barely finished their vows, and even the official was teary-eyed like never before, she said. The ceremony was really beautiful, and the simplicity of it is something that we seldom encounter in Indonesia. I know you young folks wanted this kind of simple and fun wedding, complete with the big tree 🙂

Thank God, the sky cleared up by the time we finished, and we manage to get some great light for the portraits.

So, TJ and Ani, it was a blessing to see you guys united and officiated. May your love continue to glow radiantly. See you guys soon 🙂

Like I said, you do lots of things by yourself here.CMK_7775

You know how I know they’re in love? They’re ‘smurking’ (look that up in a dictionary)CMK_7857

I have to say, this is by far the ‘skankiest’ pose for a bride and groom portrait on their wedding dayCMK_8539

  1. Aduh…itu yang the skankiest pic…untung aja posisi cewenya seperti itu…kalau posisi lain, semakin anehlah kelihatannya…. hihihi… (anyway Edward, Perthnya itu baru mulai anget tanggal 23 September…ampun dah…I was kedinginan like crazy also there, until finally a good day came).

  2. Yes it’s a shame we didn’t have the big tree… But anyway somebody told me it’s a good sign to have a light rain on the wedding day, it means we will be blessed with prosperity HAHAHA see.. there’s always good in bad 🙂

Thank you so much edward n francy, you didn’t only give us beautiful pictures but also a friendship and a delicious oxtail soup hehehehe…
It’s an honour to have you both in our wedding registration.

Ok now (our “secret word” to cross the road) i would like to share few tricks on how to kiss in front of camera…
    1. Look at your partner and smile
    2. As both faces getting closer, close your eyes
    3. Tilt your head to left or right
    4. Lips meet lips
When we kiss, we kiss, we even forgot Edward was there taking our pictures. There’s nothing shameful kissing the love of your life. So just do it!

Last but not least, it may help if your partner is a brondong and has lot of hairs (smirking of a cougar hehehehehehe…)

  3. luckily Edward mentioned that the wedding was held in Perth, otherwise the groom is well suited to be one of the workers setting up the tables and chairs huahahaha…
congratulation to you both —– wish you heart and heart, soul and soul walking to this new path of life.

  4. Excellent work !
There are only few photographer I know that have such “personal touch” in Indonesia… great work…GBU
