The birthday is coming to a close

It’s been a wild ride.

First, minutes into my birthday, ten plus wedding vendors woke me up while I was still sleeping on my bed. Shooting confetti and brought me a cake. It was surreal. I never had one like that before.

Then, a breakfast with my family. All together in a table. We’re kinda busy lately so having all of us on the table was really special.

Then lunch with the Edward Suhadi Productions family. In the spirit of “giving my birthday away” to charity: water, we didn’t have a big spread on the table, but instead a simple meal on the floor. It did felt special.

Then, an old friend came. A really good friend. We talked and talked in my office, suddenly the door opened and there stood my highschool teacher. Flabbergasted, I was taken downstairs where the whole faculty (teachers) was waiting. It felt kinda like those television shows where they zoom you real close when the tears start to fall. I only saw these kinda things on TV. Never thought I’d experienced them myself. Beyond happy.

And now, in the late evening, just heard that one of my favorite uncle just passed away. Kinda like the sour part in the whole sweet day. Whatever God’s plan for the family, I know it’s for the best.

I tweeted yesterday that after a whole morning of rain, I was having sunburn late in the evening. It goes to show that you could not tell how a day will end. Or a week. Or a year.

The best that we can do? Live everyday the best of your ability they say. And we would never know where we will end up.

To all the people who send me facebook posts, tweets, SMS and calls, I thank you. In such a short time I have experienced so much, all because of God’s favor, and circles of friends and brothers and sisters that supported me.

Thank you. Really 🙂 My day couldn’t go any better.

Now, I think that’s it for today. Or is it? There’s still two hours left 🙂

Birthday Boy,
Edward
